[正] Emma lives frugally to save up more money for books.

注：save 是指“省下，把......存起来”。我们常说 save time, save money 等，但“省吃俭用”是指把买食物的钱和其他花费都存下来买书，这显然不能用 save food and expenses 表达，因为英语的 save food 是指“把食物存起来”。
