B: Why, what was so frightening?

B: I guess that is what is known as terror-stricken.
A: Mark不是个胆小的人，也不是战战兢兢的人，可那天晚上却被吓得跟受惊的兔子似的浑身发抖。

A: 人家激他敢不敢在鬼屋住一个晚上，很显然，他看到了什么恐怖的东西，他吓得一个多小时都说不出话来。

cowardly: 胆小的，怯懦的。
timorous: 胆怯的，羞怯的，尤指在需要闯劲、独立和自信的场合;易受惊的。
quivering: 战栗的，发抖的。
terrified: 被恐惧吓倒了的，害怕的。
terror-stricken: 由于十分强烈的恐惧而吓得胆战心惊的。
