分手的结晶? 英脱欧或催生'欧式英语'
Brexit could lead to the development of a new form of the English language, according to a new academic paper.
一篇新的学术论文声称，英国脱欧或将催生一种新的英语形式。Dr Marko Modiano, of Gavle University in Sweden, said there are already signs that "Euro-English" is developing its own distinct way of speaking.
瑞典耶夫勒学院的马尔科·莫迪亚诺博士称，已有迹象表明，“欧式英语”正在形成其独特的讲话方式。Euro-English has already developed its own new definitions for some words based on the "Eurospeak". For example, "Berlaymont" means "bureaucracy"; "conditionality" is used as "conditions".

Researchers also noted that the English grammar is changing.
研究人员还注意到，英式语法也正在发生变化。One example is the expansion of the "-ing" form in utterances such as "I am coming from Spain", which, in standardized varieties of English would be "I come from Spain".
